 Nov 01, 2001When I visited Lima I stayed in this cute, affordable hostel called "The Place." It was located in Miraflores district of Lima, where everything was nearby. The shopping center, internet cafe, parks, and others were just around the corner. I'd recommend this hostel because the room was clean (I had a private room with a full bed and a private bath), breakfast was included, and friendly staff. You could ask the hotel to pick you up at the airport when you arrive. The rate was very cheap at the time -- but then again I was there in 2001. We stayed two nights in Cuzco at a party hostal and ended up leaving Matt´s friend there and heading to Urubumba. We were in Urubumba for two weeks. It was really awesome. We read a lot, lounged around, made a habit of walking to town to the mercado every day for a fresh juice, we did some permaculture designs of my friend´s property, visited the area… Here again... for the last time |
