There are plenty of better barbecue places in Memphis, but this one is on famous Beale Street. If you haven't been there, it's a like a smaller, slightly tamer version of New Orleans' Bourbon Street. The Pig on Beale has a throwback decor with an old-fashioned jukebox and wrap around bar. They have live bands, primarily blues of course. Like other joints on Beale, they have a walk up window for beer orders where you can get "big ass cup" to go. The tables and chairs have seen better days and the service isn't great, but the barbecue is pretty good. You can't go wrong with the pulled pork sandwich and any of their own barbecue sauce. I did not try their ribs, but I'm sure they are decent too.
