The Pearl Doha Reviews
This is one pretty PEARL Jan 05, 2011
Yes, there you have it.. another cost free place to visit in Doha!! The Pearl is basically Doha's answer to the high end shopping areas and eateries in Dubai.. Doha is trying to put itself on the map.. and the opening of The Pearl will help it do just that..
There are loads of restaurants and shops.. all high end at the Pearl.. however if you just want to take a look around and window shop you can do that as well..
I had a cab stop there for about an hour... i sat by the water near the yachts and enjoyed a cold beer.. window shopped and walked along the shore.. it was a great way to spend the afternoon.. if the weather got hot we would have def moved inside to explore the shops and restaurants..
its also a great place to take some touristy photos.. we weren't really hungry or in the mood to shop and we still spent about an hour and a half there.. but if those things are on your mind you might want to allot about 4 hours to this place.. it wasn't crowded, but you might want to keep in mind parking was difficult, there was security preventing you from parking along the streets... you had to park in a lot far away..
