If ever you find youself in at FIU, in Kendall, Sweetwater, or Westchester, The Frost Art Museum is certainly worth your time.

Apart from being free, the museum houses both local artists (such as Purvis Young) and classic masterpieces (Dutch masters and Flemish Baroque).

The museum has three stories, of which two are for seasonal exhibits. I have been attending the museum regularly over the past year to see contemporary Tibetan and Italian art as the past two exhibits. The artwork is first rate and I honestly prefer the Frost to the Miami Museum of Art downtown due to the stregnth of content.

The museum also hosts guest speakers and lectures- at free, it's a great value and probably the best high culture that West Dade has to offer.
