The Panamint Spring Resort Gas Station Panamint Death Valley National Park Reviews
rip off gas price Feb 08, 2015
Panamint Springs Resort is an area of Death Valley National Park that is already far from the main attractions (about 30 miles west of Stovepipe Wells.) This little village has motel lodging, campground (tent & RV sites,) gifts shop, coffee shop, snack bar, and a gas station. Their ad reads they offer from over 100 different beers!
Panamint Springs Resort is in the intersection of Panamint Valley Road and Highway 190.
We needed to get a fill up of gas before we drove back home. Panamint Gas Station is the nearest from the Wildrose Peak, where we start off. And surprise, surprise! The cost of a GENERIC brand, REGULAR grade gas per gallon here is $4.98! My husband and I were shocked considering gas prices had just gone down shortly before we went on this road trip! I wondered what this business proprietor was thinking! This expensive gas price is not just a rip-off, it is stealing money from people in a subtle way! If this is how expensive in the non-peak season how much more during travel seasons?
If you are visiting the Death Valley National Park, and you are driving avoid to fill up a gas from this gas station!
The Furnace Creek area and Stovepipe Wells have gas stations too. A little bit more expensive compared from towns outside of the park but, prices are reasonable at least.
