The Ottobar is a great venue if you're into less mainstream music and bands. They have live music 7 nights a week and most of the bands are well known in the underground music world. It's a very different venue...don't expect trendy little lights and booths. The Ottobar has a raw feel to it but it makes sense...it's about the music, not the decor.

Well said. If you're new in town, check any corner for those Yellow boxes with the City Paper in it. The City Paper is a free weekly publication that will tell you who is playing the Ottobar and everywhere else. :)
