The Original Pancake House

The Original Pancake House is franchised in 28 states with 4 restaurants in the Las Vegas area. Housed in a typical strip mall, we were lucky enough to find parking on a Sunday morning.

The restaurant interior is typical franchise diner decor...nothing special.

Our server was quick to get our beverage order. I had the fresh-squeezed orange juice...mmm...it was so good and I needed the vitamins that I had 3 large glassfuls. Mel ordered the spinach and cheddar omelette which was chock full of spinach and oozing cheese...yummy. On the side she had the buckwheat pancakes which tasted plain. Jenn ordered something similar to Eggs Benedict sans hollandaise sauce and potato pancakes...it tasted OK. I had the blueberry pancakes...6 pancakes!!! They were ok...not enough blueberries! At least they had the carbs to soak up the alcohol I had last night!

The menu had a decent selection of egg, pancake, waffle, and crepe dishes.

If you ever needed a cure for a hangover, this place would be ideal.

WOW this has a largest omelettes i have every seen. if you order an omelette. it takes a 20mins to cook it. they pan fry it then they put it in the oven to fluff it up. trust me it's worth the wait :) always served with pancakes on the side. i can only eat half then take the rest home.

Original Pancake House is a popular neighborhood restaurant. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. HUGE selection of pancakes and crepes. The Dutch Baby is so huge, it could feed a family of six! But it's so delicious, order it for yourself! Service is very good. The restaurant doesn't accept reservations, so expect to wait for a table at this very popular place. It's well-worth it!
