The Oregon Film Museum Astoria Reviews
"Down Here, It's Our Time. It's Our Time Down Here!" Nov 02, 2014
I'm all about anything Goonies-related so when someone told me about the Oregon Film Museum, I naturally had to check it out.
This is the very location in which the jail scene from the movie was filmed. The actual jail cell, suicide note, clothes, and other paraphernalia from the set are available for viewing.
It's not just limited to "The Goonies," though. Many films have been shot solely or in part in the state of Oregon including "One Flew Over the Cuckco's Nest," "Animal House," "The Shining," and one of my personal favorites, "Stand By Me."
The museum itself is very small. Admission was $6 for adults. There are interactive exhibits including your being able to perform in front of a green screen, so how long it takes to get through the museum is really up to you.
