The Only Place (T.O.P.) Restaurant
The Only Place (T.O.P.) Restaurant Batangas Reviews
Not Just the Place, But the Food Jun 29, 2012
If you happen to be at Batangas port on your way to Boracay (in case you go there through ferry instead of plane) or to Puerto Galera and you still have ample time before your boarding time, you may want to try Philippines' native foods done in Batangas. Actually there are lots f Filipino Native Food Restaurants in Batangas, and The Only Place Restaurant, commonly called T.O.P. is one of them.
T.O.P is located at the heart of the city and is just 10 minutes drive from the port. The restaurant is not that big, but it has a good ambiance and attractive interior atmosphere. They serve different varieties of home-made native dishes and delicious sea foods.
It has two sections : one with the bar and acoustic singer which is always filled with those who want to prick up their ears with music while having meals or drinks. It is always full at night time. This section is where I hang out with my friends for drinks.
The other section of the restaurant has just a simple setting yet elegant and so relaxing and is ideal for the group who wants a meeting over dinner, let's say. This time, I treated my cousins in this section. We ordered their golden brown crispy pata (deep fried pork knuckle), sinigang na tanigue (fish stew, cooked with broth and condiments), and sea foods kare-kare (mixed sea-foods cooked in gravy made from peanut butter). Crispy pata is the restaurant's best seller because it is tasty, yummy and literally crispy!
Btw, The Only Place has another branch here in Batangas, and is called The Other Place.
