The Old Port Candy Co.

The Old Port Candy Co. is a must when visiting Portland, Maine, especially for a connoisseur of candy such as myself. It is a smaller sized store and is hard to maneuver as there isn’t a lot of walking space, but the selection is very good.

The prices are about the same as any touristy candy store which is on the higher end than say the 7-11 or grocery store, but you have to expect that, so I didn’t mind all that much.

They have a great selection of malt balls, fudge and Jelly Bellies. I love all of the items as if they were my own. The fudge was especially great and they had many unique flavors, the praline one was so good! I ate it all in one sitting and was sick for the rest of the day. Not because of the product mind you, but more because I had no will power and my stomach couldn’t handle it. But you know what, I would do it again...
