We came to The Naam (vegetarian restaurant) for lunch, as we were passing through Kitsilano and were blown away by the food. Adam had the "Tofu Dog Platter" with sesame chips (fries) and miso gravy. Steph had the "Naam Dragon Bowl" with tofu, organic brown rice, steamed veg and miso gravy. Both dishes came with the most amazing salad as well. Both dishes were AMAZING and very good sized portions (which by our standards is saying a great deal)! The total cost for both our meals came to CAD$23; very good value in our opinion.
The setting as well is worth a mention. It had a very homey, comfortable feel, good music selection which was in keeping with the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. We had hoped to return on our last night in Vancouver, but circumstances did not allow it. It will however, be one of our first stops the next time we are in the city! This is a great place and I have been there numerous times. Make sure to have a little patience because besides being famous for good vegetarian food they also have a reputation for being fairly slow.
This is a great place to go also when you're drunk after a party. It's open 24 hours a day so making your way over there at 330am is highly recommended. Be sure to order the Tuscan Nachos. Pile of chips, overloaded with cheese, sun dried tomatoes, red onions and balsamic vinegar, accompanied by yoghurt and salsa. |

The Naam is a great vegetarian restaurant in the kitsilano area of Vancouver. It's open 24 hours a day and offers delicious vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner! The atmosphere is cozy with intimate tables inside or in the small patio outside, and there is live music (mostly folk, jazz and blues) from 7-10pm every night.
I've heard the food can be hit and miss, but everytime I've been there, I've had delicious dishes! The service can be a bit slow, and can lack a bit of enthusiasm, but the ambiance can more than make up for it. My favourite meal is probably one of the Dragon Bowls (the gold dragon is the best!) and a blueberry soy shake mmm! Their sesame fries and miso gravy are a specialty and not to be missed. There are many vegan options. |

We had lunch in an amazing vegetarian restaurant called The Naam, which has apparently been going strong for years. The food was awesome and we decided we would return for more on our last night in Vancouver (see our review).
We jumped back on the #4 bus which took us back downtown and we got off right… First Day in Vancouver |

I can reccomend lots of great restaurants (Like The Naam in kits, it is open 24 hours and serves yummy vegetarian/vegan food), and although the time I went there wasnt any festivals, there is always jazz and film ones to look forward to, come summer. The highlight for me is always the Granville Island… The Return to BC |
