Decent indonesian food Jul 07, 2012
Went for the Rijsttafel Weekend Brunch which was about SGD $38 for 2 pax which had about 6 dishes:

Steamed white rice (which was really good!)

Shrimp crackers

Tahu Tempe (fermented tofo and soya cake) -> decent

Opor ayam (spiced chicken curry) -> my mum cooked it way better!

Soto makassar (

Traditional Sulawesi richly-seasoned beef broth) -> not as spicy as I hoped

Acar _ vinegar based salad

The food was pretty average but I guess for tourists it'd be a good starting point.

They have a varying taste of spicyness for the chili, though their spiciest didn't do much for me, coz I love it really spicy, red flushes and all.

It is however a good way to sample the different dishes at a lower price than the ala carte.

But for really good Indonesian food, I'd suggest Indo Padang at The Cathay, Resto Surabaya or Ayam Penyet Ria at Lucky Plaza at a way cheaper price and much better quality.
