The Mirage Hotel and Casino Jan 16, 2013
I stayed at The Mirage Hotel and Casino on my last trip to Las Vegas. I got a solid deal and the location was superb. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. The resort had more bars and restaurants than I could count! My bed was very comfy. Service was right there with you when you needed them which is hard to find. I stayed for two night on a very short trip and would stay here again. My favorite restaurant was a burger place you must try which is what I'll write about in my next review so stay tuned ;)

Awesome place for younger crowd! Aug 16, 2011
Was there in the summer of 2010. Besides seeing some celebrities (Tyra Banks, Lebron James, James Cameron) I fould the crowd younger and more party like. I have been to Vegas 9 times, so I've experienced all the big hotels, but this one felt more happening. It is very nice, doesn't get the fan-fare some of the bigger hotels do, but for the price, its a steal. The club on site is nice, called Jet.

Good times, recommend for sure...besides, the volcano that erupts out front of this place is a great photo op!

Good place Apr 07, 2011
The Mirage is situated in the middle of the Strip. It's the hotel with the Volcano in the front and the tropical forest in the lobby.

Very nice room. Had a desk very nice place for my laptop, 2 chairs, seperate bathroom with double sinks and nice bed.

I highly recommend staying here.

Mirage Casino Las Vegas Hotel Jun 26, 2010
The Mirage Hotel has been my 4th hotel in vegas.

Let's start with the pros & cons...

+ BIG & beautiful pool

+ location

+ tropical lobby

+ king ink

+ dolphins & tigers at the hotel

- staff at the lobby

- "service"

- small rooms

- volcano

Well this time i had the smallest room in vegas i ever had. I stayed at the mandalay, caesar's, encore hotel before... so I was used to pretty big hotel rooms in vegas. Our room at the mirage was clean, new, modernaly decorated...but it wasn't BIG.

The bathroom wasn't big either... and the less luxurious i've seen in vegas. No seperated toilet, no shower... just the average bathroom you see in every hotel.

The floors outside the room looked nice though.. nice room doors, new carpets on the floor.

We took a strip view room... however it wasn't worth the +40$ update.

We checked in on the 26th birthday. This wasn't done on purpose... however the day before we arrived in vegas, i expected they would give us a free upgrade...maybe a suite or whatever. LOTS of hotels do that, so since we were in vegas, i expected this to happen. However at our check-in, no bday wishes, no upgrade, nothing...just hello&goodbye..

The pool is the only thing I really enjoyed. Mandalay and the Encore can't beat the mirage with their pools.

The Mirage isn't THAT it's easier to meet people I guess.

They have a dolphin show, and tiger show as well. With "show" I mean, you can watch 'em. There's no show with music, or loud annoying people. GOOD! because those beautiful animals should remain in a quiet ambience. It was worth the 5-7$.

The lobby looks nice as well... nothing too specacular... but still alright.

While we stayed at the mirage, I was gambling in the evening. Next to our table there was a fight between 2 guys, later another guy joined the fight. Since I've watched all those mafia movies which take place in vegas..i expected some HUGE guys running out of their cages. However after 3 minutes...still no one that would seperate those guys... Only after 5 minutes the cops arrived at the table...

Security at the Mirage?? Where are you?

anyway...the hotel isn't bad... We paid 150€ for 3 nights (for 1 person. which would be 300€ for the room)... I've stayed at better hotels for that price...

If you can afford it...check out the Wynn (Encore) hotel... or Caesar's Palace.

Don't get me wrong... most people can't afford a hotel like the mirage in new york, los angeles bay area...or anywhere else in a big city. The hotel is pretty awesome. But compared to other hotels on the strip... you will surely find better ones in vegas.

Beautiful atrium. Feb 22, 2010
The Mirage is located just north of the central part of the strip. We arrived just after lunch time on a Monday and there was practically no queue at check in. We had our keys within about 5 minutes of arriving! As with all Vegas hotels getting to your room involves quite a bit of walking and this one was no exception.

First you have to walk through the beautiful atrium. We were there during the Chinese New Year celebrations so there were big red lanterns all over the place and the loveliest flowers. Then you have to negotiate the casino to get to the elevators. It's all carpeted too so dragging your suitcase along is that tiny bit more bothersome. The casino is very dark and if it's busy it isn't that easy to see the pathway.

We had a stripview room on the 18th floor and of course, it was near the end of the corridor.

The room looked newly refurbished and it had a marble entry and was very light and you can open the window! We had a lovely view of the Wynn, Encore and Venetian.

The bathroom was large and had a really cool mirror that lit up.

I really like this hotel. It isn't as flashy as some of the others but it's got a certain class. The only down side though was the noise from outside. If you ask for a stripview be aware that the volcano is very loud and because you can open the windows they don't seem to seal shut so you'll definitely hear it.
The entry way.

Not bad.could be better. Mar 28, 2010
good place to stay. But if you want to move all over strip i would rather stay on the other side of Blvd...As monorail is closer from side and easy to move around.average place to stay.OK casino.other places has better things.better shops that are 24 hours.and cheaper.

Great first-timer hotel Aug 17, 2009
This hotel is great for anyone who wants to relax during the day and party at night. The service at the pool is quick and friendly, you have the option of two nightclubs at night and the show LOVE. Since there are not as many attractions in this hotel it is great for meeting people. The rooms were very modern and nice, had excellent views from the room window and had very comfortable beds, this includes the rollaway bed. Although a bit far from the other big hotels it is a great hotel to stay at.

Great place to stay...centrally located May 22, 2008
Overall, staying at Mirage was a great experience. The main reason we booked this hotel was because we heard they had a great pool with a slide (after we arrived, we found out they no longer have a slide). Unfortunately, the weather was hot during the weeks BEFORE and AFTER our trip, but the weekend we were there, the weather did not cooperate. It rained two (out of the four) days we were in Vegas, so we were only able to enjoy the pool two days.

As far as food goes, Mirage has a good selection. We ate a late breakfast (fries and eggs) one morning and most other mornings had coffee/tea and muffins from the cafe near the pool entrance. We did not get a chance to eat at FIN (chinese/asian food), Cravings buffet, or California Pizza Kitchen but it was nice to know there were so many choices.

We did not visit the REVOLUTION club (although it always looked lively when we walked by), and it almost always had 70s-dressed dancers hanging around outside it (for posing for pictures, etc).

The volcano was under construction (with a sign that said it would be reopened in late 2008) and the hotel was going through some remodeling (improving decor in the rooms) while we were there.

The best part about Mirage was its location. We found it easy to go whereever we needed to be. There is a 1/2 price ticket box office at the Fashion Show Mall (just on the other side of TI) and tons of shopping (The Forum at Caesars, Venetian, Wynn, etc) nearby. The only time we found its location to be a problem was when we had to get all the way down to Luxor for an evening show but even then it only took us about an hour to walk.
