The standards in this 7 year old establishment have never slipped and its would be safe to say the food is memorable.
Salmon and crab terrine with crème fraiche and pesto. Brill with basil mash, or that same mash served with superb Horn Head mackerel. The fillet steak with grated spuds and pancetta. The caramelised rice pudding. The chicken livers and black pudding with rosemary porridge fritter. The seared scallops with crispy anchovies. The rhubarb crumble tart.
An impressive location, in a fine old house right on the New Lake, and a lasting impression. If near don't miss it.
Accommodation is offered in six individually decorated rooms. The decor is simple but stylish, with cosy sitting room off the dining room, with an open fire, and comfy big chairs and sofas to relax in.
