Walking tour Apr 03, 2010
The Mala Strana side (lesser side) is located just across the Charles Bridge from Old Town, at the bottom of the hill that leads up to Prague Castle. We took a walking tour here that led through the charming streets of Mostecka (a street that has been there for 750 years), Karmelitska and Maltezer Square. It also crosses Kampa Island and passes the old watermill and Velkopřevorské náměstí, the John Lennon Wall (although the picture of John Lennon has disappeared by other graffiti by now). The tour ends at the beautiful entrance tower of the Charles Bridge. From here you can cross the Charles Bridge towards the Old Town, or walk in the other direction through Nerudova Street which is filled with nice little shops and restaurants.
