Employee stole camera. Apathetic management Aug 21, 2011
We were in town for a MLB game between our beloved Atlanta Braves and the Astros. We booked this hotel because of it's location and it was recommended by other travel sites. And it was just expensive enough for us to think it was a nice hotel.

Check in and MANDATORY valet service went smoothly. The smell that greeted us when we stepped off the elevator was best described as "horsey" and the carpet was a little dated. Room temperatures were hit and miss. Our a/c froze us out and my in laws 2 doors down couldn't get it cool enough.

One of our days in Houston was a shopping day..of course! We left our camera bag semi hidden by the bed in the room. It wouldn't fit in the safe. One of the housekeepers who has been arrested and charged with this, stole our camera bag.

Managements response? Nothing. They were advised by the police that it was their employee, we had made frantic calls trying to locate the bag and they felt their obligation to apologize to us as guests was (wait for it) NADA! When we finally made contact with them, the director of the WHOLE hotel said he had not called because he had transposed our phone number wrong on his little notepad. This guy runs the whole hotel and he's not smart enough to look up our phone number in his records? Wow!? So, for the headache, stress, anger and stolen equipment

caused by the hotel this concerned member of management comps my room but deducts what we payed for valet services. Thanks for nothing Aaron!

Do not stay at this hotel unless you are willing to carry ALL your valuables with you every time you leave your room.
