A true 5 Star experience Nov 30, 2013
It is one of the most luxury and charming hotel in the town. Made from beautifully carved stone it doesnt have the sparkling modernity of a new luxury hotel, but its slightly rustic grandeur (formerly the Maharaja’s palace built in the early 1900s) gives it plenty of character and old world charm. Very beautiful courtyard, restaurant, food, service building all is so fantastic. Rooms are nicely decorated. It was a joy to spend two nights in this historic and beautiful heritage hotel.

I don't actually know the cost of the rooms, since we were a group and the payment was taken care of by the tour operator.

The Laxmi Niwas Palace Overview

Guests will feel like royalty in this luxury heritage property. TO/0707Rooms are large and in good condition and were designed keeping in mind the fact that they would be used by the royal family itself or by the personal guests of the Maharaja. Most of the rooms are decorated lavishly using gold wall paintings and have painted or carved wood ceilings. Rooms are large and in good condition and were designed keeping in mind the fact that they would be used by the royal family itself or by the personal guests of the Maharaja. Most of the rooms are decorated lavishly using gold wall paintings and have painted or carved wood ceilings. Located approximately one kilometre from the city centre of Bikaner. The palace offers both a 24-hour coffee shop, located in the former study of the palace, along with a speciality Northwest Frontier restaurant. This restaurant is located in the former dining hall of the Maharaja and is decorated with pure gold wall paintings and a gilded carved wood ceiling. A former Maharaja place, this property was constructed out of red sandstone and sits on a vast area of landscaped lawns with lily ponds and fountains. A large, opulent lobby.
