Good place to touch down May 16, 2013
We discovered this sweet deal through Meyer Vacation Rentals and it was perfect for our brief stay. Nothing fancy, our condo at The Landing (unit 212) was a two bedroom affair with a sleeper sofa. Unfortunately I never recruited a third person to defray costs and volunteer for the sofa bed, but it was relatively cheap anyway (about $800 for four nights, split by two people).

I had the non-master bedroom and it was a bit cramped, but still quite comfortable. Even though the smaller bedroom did not have a contained bathroom (unlike the master, which did), it was only two feet away and virtually the same thing. There was a complete kitchen stocked with the basic supply of pots, pans, dishes and utensils, though no consumables (i.e., spices, salt and pepper, coffee, etc.).

There was also a nice back deck, adorned with a rather tacky table dolphin! It had pleasant views toward the beach (just across the street) and directly towards the back bay. The property has a boat dock, so there are multiple ways to arrive! Of course if you arrive more traditionally by automobile, there are two assigned parking spaces included with your rent, a nice feature.

Other amenities available on the property site are a pool and barbecue. If you are considering the Landing for your visit to the Hangout Music Festival, the premiere feature is that this condo is only two blocks from one of the shuttle stops to the concerts. The property is a bit far from town and there aren’t any convenience or grocery stores (or bars or restaurants, for that matter) within easy walking distance. But everything is only minutes away by car.

I agree it isn't bargain basement, but keep in mind we got this rate during the music festival, where outrageous prices ruled. If you had been here to grab the sleeper-sofa it would only have been $67 a night!
