The Land of The Rainbow Troops belitung island Reviews
Realize the dreams and coloring the stars in the soul. Sep 20, 2015
The success a novel of "Laskar Pelangi or The Rainbow Troops" has significantly increased the popularity of the Belitung Island as a tourist destination, and boosted the energy of its people to turn the once quiet and underdeveloped island into a vibrant destination. The novel of Andrea Hirata’s captures the struggles of marginalized citizens to achieve their dreams, the beauty of friendship and reality of social life, especially in an education environment in Belitung that moment. The Rainbow Troops have become the brand of Belitung Island and known as the land of the Rainbow Troop.
The Belitung island is the place to see the clear blue sky up above, smell the fresh fragrance of the ocean, and hear the enchanting chirping of birds. Visiting the shooting location, replica of Gantung Muhammadiyah elementary school and Andrea Hirata Word Museum in his village, has become an interesting tourist attraction in Belitung Island. The replica of the school was rickety, with blue-white walls and rusty roofs built on a white sand beach. A sturdy wood pillar supported the shack, defending it from strongly blew the wind. The school replica is situated in quiet surroundings, built without gateways unlike most schools do. The modest depiction of the school is reflected through the shack dusty. The Museum Kata Andrea Hirata (Andrea Hirata Word Museum) containing photos, inspiring words, and history of the making of the novel and film of Laskar Pelangi (The Rainbow Troops). The museum was a traditional wooden house, there are several rooms inside the house, but converted as a museum.
Visiting beaches around Belitung to see the sunset and sunrise was a wonderful feeling, let my eye wander forward onto the great expanse of ocean that spread out before me. Deep blue water that sparkled a brilliantly bright sapphire in the reflection of the setting sun, the breeze softly touching my cheeks and some gust of winds blowing wisps of my hair. Make me learn to appreciate the wonder and beauty of nature. Dozens of colors and brightly painted boats of fishermen were docked. Some fisherman let it go of the anchor with patience and hopes. They keep busy with fishing lines. Their joy knows no bounds when he catches a lot of fish. They were enjoying the warmth of the sun and the prospect of catching a fish.
"Let’s dancing and laughing together, although our world is not as beautiful as a heaven”. That is a quotation from soundtrack lyric of Laskar Pelangi. The lyric inspired me to continue the stride, never stop coloring the world with the millions of dreams of a better life in the future. Life is a wonderful, beautiful journey. Keeping in touch with nature once again. Seems to revitalize the energy within me. Helping me to know myself even more. Making me fully human, fully alive.
