Get lost in this wonderful maze Apr 15, 2013
The Labyrinth park of Horta is an historical garden that includes a museum, is located in the district of Horta-Guinardó of Barcelona. It is the oldest garden/park in the entire city.

The architectural styling could be divided in two, one Neoclassical garden from the XVIII century and the other one is a Romantic garden from the XIX century. As its name suggests, it is centred arround a maze created by cypress trees and has an abundant and assorted plant life. The multi-level park was designed and build in 1791, the construction of which was ordered by the sixth marquis of Llupià who was the owner of the land until 1967, when the Desvalls family (descendants of the marquis) ceded the ground to the city.
