The Kool Hotel Reviews
A Sincere Commitment to Hospitality Feb 25, 2009
I had never been to Cambodia before and went online to research hotels and The Kool Hotel stood out because of its great reviews. After staying there recently for three nights, I wholeheartedly recommend it, too. All the staff made my stay exceptional. From their welcoming tone when I checked in, to the care paid to preparing my meals, to the spotless cleanliness of my room, every interaction made clear that the staff strive for high-quality customer service. In addition, they routinely went above and beyond what I expected, like patiently explaining all my touring options around Angkor or just ordering a tuk-tuk if I said on a moment's notice I'd like to go somewhere. Although the hotel isn't located in downtown Siem Reap, I think its location on a small side street is a huge asset since there is virtually no noise, making it a pleasant place to sleep. In short, the best thing about The Kool Hotel is the staff's sincere commitment to hospitality. These guys earn every dollar. If I can go back to Angkor, I am definitely staying with them again.

Great experience Jan 05, 2009
My husband and I stayed in this hotel in early December, before the official opening. Because it was during the 'soft opening', we had the hotel to ourselves and enjoyed some discounts. I don't think I've experienced such customer service anywhere else in Asia. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the food was great, and the room was comfortable and clean. The staff arranged all of our day trips and even sent us off with a nice lunch basket of sandwiches and delicious baked goods. This is a really great value and a nice alternative to the big commercialized hotels elsewhere in town. In fact, we are thinking of returning sometime late this year! I would suggest travelers take advantage of the different massages offered: great prices and really relaxing!

Caring, Affordable, and good value for money, close to Angkor temples Dec 18, 2008
Nicely decorated and newly opened hotel. There was some minor contruction in the hotel but it didnt disturb me much as it's not noisy.
Staff are very attentive and caring. The hotel organised all the tours, tickets, bus for me during my stay, so it made my trips very pleasant. I paid USD23 a night for 3 nights stay with breakfast and welcome drink. The hotel even gave me a complimentary lunch basket for my temple trip. The location is also good. It's not far from the airport and around 1.5 km from the pubs and bars district. Only around 10 mins by tuk tuk to Angkor Temples. The staff of the hotel are quite new as they have just opened so sometimes they were a bit shy with guests:P, but overall they were very friendly and could help me out with all services I needed in Siem Reap. I also had a 3 hr Cambodian Massage session at the hotel, it was great and I would say you might need one after a long day from temples. The charge was very cheap as the hotel gave me 2 hr price for 3 hr massage. The food was also great, the hotel bakes thier own bread and other bakery. Do try thier cinnamon rolls and Oatmeal bar. They are to die for. For those who look for something Cambodian, try thier Amok, Steamed fish with coconut and curry and red curry chicken. I totally enjoyed my stay at the Kool Hotel. |

Afforable and Caring Hotel in Siem Reap Nov 14, 2008
I stayed at The Kool Hotel early Nov 2008. I got 50% off from their website rate. I arranged the hotel to pick me up from the bus terminal as I travelled from Thai Border.Once I arrived, i was given nice cold towel and complimentary cold drink. However, This hotel is newly opened and some part is yet to finish. The location is ok just 150 m away from the main but it is in a quiet location, walking distance to shops, bars and market, but you will need to travel a bit for 5-10 min by Tuk Tuk to the Old Market, where most pubs and bars are). The hotel is clean, very nice Khmer design mixed with contemporary, friendly staff. They also organised Angkor wat tour, taxi, and a tour guide for me at reasonable prices (I have checked through several places). I also like their fruit shake and their complimentary foot massage. You would probably need it after a long day at the temples. If you plan to visit Siem Reap or Angkor Wat, Check thier hotel website at www.koolhotel.com
