The Kingfisher

The Kingfisher is a gay bar/pub in my town of Dover. Its been open since August of 2007 and is a really fun place to hang out. To quote my best friend Heather 'Its the only place in the world where by 8 o'clock i'll be dancing the hokey cokey with a transvestite whilst sipping a lemonade!' There is free admission every night of the week, with special events planned for nearly every week including 'pink quizzes', party nights, drag acts and fancy dress practically ever week. It really is so much fun and I usually visit about once a week, the best night to go is a Friday night as the music is always great and its always busy! The people are very friendly and the bar staff - Shaun, Lee, Grace and Nathan are all good fun. A new lighting and pa system is currently being installed as is a DJ booth. This month there is drink promos all month with shots only 1 pound! woo hoo! There is a main lounge upstairs complete with a new snooker table. The Kingfisher is a very friendly and extremely fun and lively place to party and is one of my favourites. If you like gay places, believe me there is none gayer than this in the area so give it a try if you're ever in Dover, its fabulous!
