Friendly owners Dec 20, 2009
This GH is good value for money, but I didn't find it to be a very sociable place to stay (when travelling alone). The owners are friendly and willing to help. The room is basic but has a tv and hot shower, however no closet, drawers, table or chair to put stuff in/on.

The Right Place in the Right Spot... Aug 03, 2008
The first time I arrived in Siem Reap I was taken directly to The King Angkor by a driver from the airport and was so happy with the decision. not only was I able to get a room close to the main drag in Siem Reap, but also the driver was available to me for tours of the temples for the next days. I have been to Seim Reap twice and stayed with The King Angkor both times.

For the price this place is perfect. The rooms are a good size, the beds comfortable, very clean, television, shower and tub and each floor has a large balcony area to the front of the hotel where you can lounge in the evening or even sit with a book at night.

You can walk from the hotel directly to the downton strip within 2-3 minutes and get back just as easy with no hassles. There is a small on site spa with massage service (in room or lobby/spa) and many other services including ear candling (which I had) and foot massage.

the hotel drivers are great and both trips I had very nice, affordable drivers who took me everywhere I wanted to go including pick up and drop off at both the airport and bus station. They also have a sister guesthouse in Phnom Pehn whic is handy for trips between the two.

There is nothing bad I can say about the staff and facilities. They were super friendly when they found out I was coming back a second time and were easy to get a hold of while traveling in SE Asia to ensure a room when we arrived early in the morning.

I'm going back to Siem Reap again this year and will for sure be at The King Angkor, sitting on the balcony at night, watching the people go by with a book in hand and sore feet from the temples...
