The Kenya shilling is the strongest of the East African countries that use the shilling - Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. I have used the Kenya shilling every time I have visited Kenya which has been many times. While it is a strong currency in East Africa, one can not use it in Uganda or Tanzania without changing it into the local currency. The exchange rate varries based on changes on the International Trading places (Wall Street).

confusing though, 400 Kenya shillings is only about 7 or 8 dollars.
While we were eating, protesters walked by and we heard shouting. I
though a riot was breaking out and got a little nervous, especially
