The Jewish Mother Reviews

Jan 03, 2008
After a long drive to williamsburg. we wanted to try this place. we have been hearing about this in the radio. also we were craving for matzah ball soup. it was a very cold windy day.

as soon as well walked in. the pastry case is on the left, it was filled with cheesecakes, flourless chocolate cake, black and white cookies, blueberry pie, apple pie, and peach cobbler. of course the bagel, cream chesse, and lox

as we entered the dinning area. they also have live bands. there is a stage with lighting. the hostess seated us in the center near the wall. it is a perfect spot to watch a live band.

we wanted a bowl of matzah ball soup. IT WAS VERY GOOD. THE MATZAH BALLS WERE FIRM BUT CHEWABLE.

i ordered a ho pastrami sandwich with pumpernickel rye swirl bread with stoneground mustard. THIS WAS SO MOIST AND JUICY....YUMMY

my bf ordered the "mother's sister's husband, dagwood sandwich", corned beef, pastrami, turkey, roast beef, swiss and munster chesse with lettuce, tomato and mayo. OMG THIS WAS SO YUMMY. THIS SANDWICH WAS ABOUT 6 INCHES TALL. WE BARLEY CAN FIT OUR MOUTH TO TAKE A BITE.

our waiter was so awesome, rashid, he is from WI, huge packers fan. the jewish mother is a washington redskins bar. it was a good time to watch sports here. we will be back to try the food. it is close to the oceanfront. in
