I liked this hotel!

It is a bit on the older side to be sure with small lifts/ elevators and devoid of items like a gym and pool.

However, it made up for it with old world historical charm, location to all the shops, food, etc., and a fairly pleasant staff.

The room size is decent with remote controlled A/C, a safe, fridge (with complimentary water bottles) but the view is noting to get excited about (I had a parking garage.)

I paid about 255 (total/all in with fees and any taxes) MYR (Malaysian Ringgits)per night. That is about $80 Canadian, which is really affordable.
