Quiet Sophistication Jan 18, 2009
This is one of the finest hotels in Washington, D.C. It is very old--I think. The Bush family has stayed here when there are presidential inaugurations and such. It is extremely elegant. It is listed in the Small Leading Hotels of the Worlds. I cannot speak more highly of it. The staff is so attentive. Room service includes crystal service and silverware, eggs Benedict, bagels and cream cheese, caviar, champagne, the works. Oh, well, toast for me, everything was so expensive. I loved every minute of it. I would stay there again if the economic situation were not what it is now. I stayed there several years ago.
