This is a really relaxing place to come at night. Rather than going to a busy bar where there is no available seating, this is a great social place where live music is always there to entertain. The band is composed of all local musicians.
I believe the entrance was only 5 pounds with a valid student ID, not sure of the regular admission price. This place can be hard to find if you don't already know where it is. Although there is a sign out on chambers street, it is a very small entrance and you have to descend underground to where the band plays through some shady stairs. This causes bad cell phone reception in the downstairs area, and I missed some important "Where are you?!?!" calls due to this. Regardless, it is a good chill-out place for those tired legs after you've climbed up to Arthur's seat or the Edinburgh castle. Part of the Scotland 2008 travel blog
