Beautiful but Over-rated :( Nov 05, 2012
The hotel is quite a way from the main strip for bars and the beach and often taxi's don't know where it is so make sure you keep a hotel card with you at all times. There is a dodgy alleyway that is really dark and quite long for ladies coming back by themselves - however taxi's can fit down it (although they'll say they can't) in fact I even saw a mini bus come down it.

Although the bar staff at the hostel were lovely they same cannot be said for the office staff and the atmosphere amongst the travellers isn't very friendly and I found it quite clicky and some people difficult to talk to.

This is both a hotel and hostel and there are two 12-bed mixed dorms and the dorm rooms are utterly beautiful, possibly the best that I've ever stayed in. You get a large basket under your bed for clothes, there are loads of power points and a locker - the locker is the only place where you can secure any items as there isn't a lock on the dorm rooms and the entrance is via the bar so anyone can come into the hotel/hostel. There is a cold shower upstairs but there are a number of warm showers just behind the pool area and there are two areas where you can sit around and access the wi-fi (one by the pool and another in the bar). There is also room to sunbath on a roof terrace and there are sunbeds already and waiting for you.

Rooms in the dorm go for 190,000Rp a night so fairly competitive.

I'm not saying that this is a bad hostel, it had some lovely qualities, and I did meet some lovely travellers here, but the distance to the main beach in Kuta, to the clubs, the dodgy alleyway, rude office staff and the mix of people who were staying whilst I was there, just left me feeling that I could have had a better time, hence the reason why I eventually changed hostels.

Cute and luxurious small hostel in quiet spot in Legian Aug 01, 2011
I've stayed at this place on three different occasions now totalling 14 nights. The staff working at this hostel/hotel are very friendly and the food menu they provide from the kitchen is cheap and excellent. It's a great place to stay as it's cosy and you get to meet everyone easily as the vibe is really chilled. The airconditioning in the rooms is great and the beds and rooms are changed daily, keeping it very clean. Usually on friday nights they cook a big bbq for a reasonable fee. Beers from the bar are cheap at like $2 aud/beer.

The hostel has both dormitory accommodation and private king size double bed rooms with private shower. On the bottom level they have a small but well designed pool that is great to bob up and down in when it gets hot.

The location of the hostel is about 350m walking to the beach, and the location in square in the middle of a block so away from the busy streets.

This is my favourite place to stay when in Bali as the staff are friendly and it's a great spot to meet other like minded travellers.

Easily the best place to stay in Bali! Apr 22, 2011
It was just one of those places where things just fall neatly into place - the vibe, the people, the food, the service, the location! It's a cool haven for travelers and backpackers who like value for money without compromising comfort and style.

The rooms and showers were clean, the beds were great, the staff was friendly, the food from the cafe was delicious, and well priced. There were also lots of comfy areas to lounge in, with chill-out music wafting through common areas. The beach in the area (10-min walk) wasn't really great, but the beautiful pool made up for it! We really had fun!

Well, true. But I was not at home so I still think it was a good thing to have. To be honest the beach wasn't much, either. But I love Bali and I had a good time there. Indonesia being a close neighbor I'm keen to appreciate what others have come to like :-)
