The Irish Village

When I was in Dubai, my brother kept telling me about the Irish Village at the Aviation Club. On my last day in Dubai I ate dinner here with my brother, his girlfriend, and some of his work colleagues.

The restaurant is located in a quiet part of Dubai and is attached to the tennis stadium. I liked the place. It was very different from other restaurants in Dubai and had a great atmosphere. There was live music and we ate dinner on the patio beside the stage.

The food was great. I ordered a burger and fries and a delicious cheesecake for dessert. As well, the place was packed with European expats, so I met a lot of people.

All in all it was a good night and a great way to end my stay in Dubai.

Yes there are Irish pubs in the desert.The Irish Village was one of the first in Dubai and has just had it,s 13th Birthday.It remains popular especially now the cooler weather is here.Large outside area that has regular live music and a decent Menu.Alcohol is as everywhere in Dubai expensive and it gets busy so be prepared for a wait for that beer.

The Irish Village pub is in a complex with a few shops and restaurants. There is a large outside seating area as well as the pub inside. There will usually be many western tourists and expats hanging out and drinking beer. Live bands play and often there is an event on holidays. Many beers on tap including American, Irish, and German beers. They also serve food.
