The Impala Hotel Arusha

The Indian food is excellent. It's a must. There is also an Ethiopian restaurant down the road a bit. It's wonderful. I recommend that you bring hand sanitizer or baby wipes however. They have you was your hands before eating (you eat with your hands) and the water isn't purified. Hence if you don't want to be sick bring hand sanitizer. The food was excellent though. The hotel is nice and the rooms are quite comfortable. The laundry service is pretty expensive so I don't recommend it if you don't need it. There isn't very much to do in the Hotel itself besides the pool but the restaurants are nice and its just a few minutes walk into town where there are markets, clubs, and even a movie theater/outdoor mall if you want to take a daladala or cab out there. There is one club called Via Via which I highly recommend just a few minutes drive away. Overall a very nice stay. The roof (although I'm not sure you're allowed up there) offers a very lovely view of the sunrise/sunset and Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro in the distance.
