Me and the girls I work with decided to have a girls nights out. It started out in Itaewon for tapas. Then moved on to Hongdae for Ice Bar and Cocoon nightclub. The Ice Bar is only 15,000원 and it comes with a free drink. Before you go inside the bar you are given a silver parka, a pair of faux fur lined moccasins, a pair of socks (I suggest bringing your own) and gloves.
Once inside you grab your drink and find a nice block of ice to relax on. In the bar there are ice sculptures and even an ice fire place. But the most interesting thing you will find there are the bottles of frozen urine. They are the urine of competitors in the Iceman Competition. The standing record is 13 hours and 30 minutes. If you think you can beat it go to the Hongdae area of Seoul and find the bar and start the timer. |
