The House Brighton Reviews
Don't miss out on the best meal of your life! Feb 08, 2011
The house Restaurant in Brighton is a little gem, tucked away in the south lanes. I visited The House a few times now and I must say that every time has been an eating pleasure! It has a light, airy decor with a nice homely ambience, without the room being too crowded with tables and chairs. All the people who dealt with us have been utterly charming and efficient and couldn’t do enough for us which was no nice and was not all over bearing.
As for the food one word simply gorgeous!!! Succulent (Scotch) steaks, scrummy sauces, best chips we've had out for ages (tasty golden chunky chips, crunchy outside and melting soft inside), and the fish dishes look very appetising too. Last time we were there, chatted to a couple on an adjacent table who had a vegetarian option and a fish stew. They were both exceeding happy with the quality of their food.
At the moment The House offers a very reasonable lunchtime menu with specials costing around £6.00 which are very good value for money.
Overall I really can not fault The House restaurant and would recommend that if your in Brighton and fancy a meal our somewhere that is not a chain and is charming in every way, go to The House and you will not be disappointed!
