The Historic Fox Theater Reviews

Feb 20, 2007
Originally opened February 27, 1930 it ran as the longest running theater in Visalia until 1976 when multiplexes started taking over. It was divided up into three theaters and ran that way until November of 1996. A new 12 plex theater opened on the south end of town bring this beautiful and historic landmark to a close. But as soon as the closing took place a group called “The friends of the Fox” formed and took efforts to attain the old building and restore it to its original beauty. On November 20, 1999 the Fox reopened, beautifully restored to its former glory. It is now available for concerts, events, weddings, and the occasional movie. The 1,300 seat theater is frequently packed for concerts.

Note: On the review I tagged the cost at free. Free to drive by and look at the exterior and maybe if open to look inside. Events can be about any price from cheap to expensive.
Renovated interior
An unusual shot with snow.
