The Hideout
The Hideout Reviews
Jan 05, 2007
The Hideout, like its name might imply, is a tiny bar off of Pacific Coast Highway that would be hard to find unless you knew exactly where to look. It's located right inbetween some other shops, and relatively unidentifiable other than a small glowing "cocktails" sign along the wall. Once you get inside, you are greeted with a small but comfortable bar and a small combination dance floor/lounge area. There is also an upstairs area (not open all the time) with booths and another small table/bar. Despite it's dimunitive size, the people here are usually pretty friendly and know how to have fun. There are always a few people dancing and it's never difficult to get a drink. I wouldn't make an entire night of it here, but it's a reliable place to fall back on if you are looking for something to do and are in the area.
Also, in the few times I have been here, the ratio of girls to guys is much higher than any other bar I've seen. In most cases it's at least 50-50. Hopefully this won't change now that the secret is out... ;) |
