Accommodation in the centre of Manchester Jun 23, 2009
The Hatters Hostel is a backpackers' hostel superbly located very near the main train station and the main street of Manchester. However, if you want to go to Old Trafford or the football stadium, then these are a bit further away. There's a variety of rooms to choose from (single to 18 bed ones), the single one was really basic but had everything one needs to spend a night or two. It was quite noisy during the night, though, as you could hear people on the stairs. Women's bathrooms were on floors 2 and 4, the toilets were ancient, the showers were ok. The common room and kitchen were great with a 24 hour breakfast of toast, jam and tea/coffee and wireless Internet access.
