The Grill On The Alley Manchester Reviews
The Grill on the Alley Nov 19, 2011
The Grill on the Alley is a very nice restaurant near Deansgate in Manchester in, unsurprisingly, an alley. It serves excellent steaks in a laid back atmosphere.
It specialises in meat, although I am sure there are vegetarian options on the menu somewhere. The steaks are all excellent, properly aged, and well cooked. There is even wagyu steak on the menu, although I decided that I was not anywhere near rich enough to pay for that. Prices are reasonable (apart from the really specialty stuff), with most kinds of steak coming in at about the £17-£25 mark, which includes chips but not vegetables and puts it in the “not bad for a special occasion” place for me. The wine is lovely.
Service was very good, without being intrusive. The restaurant can get very busy but doesn’t really feel crowded, apart from right next to the bar. The music is at the right volume and the décor is nice and relaxed.
