The Grand Sacramento Reviews
A Small Grand Dec 30, 2010
The Grand is an awesome little, I do mean little place with seating enough for about 10. My friend and I came by here and decided that it would be a nice place to stop and have a glass of wine or a bottle of beer. I enjoy a lovely glass of Malbec from Mendoza and watch the frenzied action across the street at the Mix and DeVere's. Because it's right on the corner, you'll get to watch a lot of people spraining their ankles as they step off the curbs in their 6-in heels, too funny and a great bonus!
The wine selection is very good and the employees, James and John are decently knowledgeable. Those after a true wine tasting experience may be a little disappointed, but those in search of a mellow oasis in the midst of the midtown party scene will be pleased. Their prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is great. The music can be a bit loud
Come here after dinner for a glass of wine, or two. If you want to enjoy a meal there, you can order food from Aioli's menu and it will be delivered. Aioli’s is the parent restaurant just up the street.
They have a really nice wine cellar up on the 2nd floor which is only accessible through the parking garage next to the shop. And, yes, they do have a bathroom. Just get the key under the cheese tray, make your way to the 2nd floor of the garage and bam, right there. Clean and warm.
This is a great little place to enjoy, so when you are in the area, stop by and enjoy.
