The Globe Hotel Amsterdam

Don't stay here! Well, you can stay here if you have to...but try and find somewhere else. Here's a tip for Amsterdam-book ahead! Or else you end up staying at a place like this. The sports bar downstairs was not bad, the food was alright and it had a patio that faced a canal. But it was a pretty scuzzy, dirty place. We were staying in a 22 bed dorm. It wasn't the cleanest room I've ever seen. The showers were...well they were something else. Definitely one of the worst showers of our trip. It was like water was just barely trickeling out of the shower head..cold water. And the floor was on a bit of a slant and there was no drain at one end so there was a constant puddle as soon as you walked in..nice. Other than that it wasn't bad...we met some good people there. The location was decent, in the red light district and walking distance to most sights.
