Small, Intimate Concert Venue Jan 12, 2015
I had the pleasure of seeing Weezer perform here on 11/6/14 and I have to say that this was one of the best concert venues I have ever been to. The small size means that you'll have a super intimate concert experience, no matter if you are in the front or in the back. The entire space was formerly occupied by a Walgreens drugstore, so that gives you an idea of the size.

There's a very small balcony area with great views as well. The layout is simple with a bar in the back and restrooms upstairs. No smoking is allowed inside (yay for California)! I found security to be efficient and professional, but not super friendly. Personally, I don't care if I get a smile and a wave as long as I'm kept safe.

I also appreciated how they taped off an area to make a walkway if you had to go outside to smoke, to the bar to get a drink, or to the bathroom upstairs. That meant minimal shoving to work your way out of the crowd.

Parking wasn't too difficult, especially by California standards; there are spots on the street out front where you can park for free after 6 pm. Lots of bars and restaurants right outside if you want to meet for a pre-show beer or snack.

Note that this is a completely "standing room only" performance space and there are no seats. A great venue!

The Glass House in Pomona used to be a hall where raves were held. It used to be a Goth hang out. What it has always been and remain today is a place to meet up and listen to your favorite band.

Its a local venue in Down town Pomona that is fairly inexpensive and actually has good bands perform. Its a place for local acts to showcase their art but it has also netted bigger named bands (Modest Mouse, Sick Puppies, Bad Religion, Rilo Kiley)> Theres a small front area and then a larger stage room. The stage is set up in one corner. Along on wall is a little standing area. Along the other way you can go upstairs and have a higher view.

The area is pretty small and it makes for an intimate experience. The sound is not the ultimate best but still is pretty good. One thing people have complained about it Security. They can be pretty bitchy and they are not super fast about breaking up fights. This is Pomona and fights will happen.

All in all the venus is surprisingly fun. The prices are super reasonable and the bands are fun. Its an all ages venue and there is no alcohol served. You can purchase water at $2 a bottle. There is reentry and most people go outside during intermission.
