The Flying Saucer has several locations about the southern US. The one in Cordova like the others has a menu that changes somewhat with the seasons but they generally have somewhere around 200 beers to choose from. The have about 50 or so on tap and the rest in bottles. The cost of the beer ranges from $2.75-$30 depending on the beer, most are $4-$7. The food menu isn't too bad either, typical bar type food, however a little more unique.

The inside of the bar has as one might expect a bar area and a good number of tables. They have an outdoor patio which is great when the weather is nice. There are a few couches for people to lounge in and a couple dart boards. They also have a members club aka the UFO Club once you drink 200 different beers you get a plate "saucer" on the wall with your name on it.

In general the cost is a little high but it's no more than you'd pay in downtown Memphis, plus you don't have to deal with the traffic to get there. The place stays busy most nights so parking is a little bit of an issue unless you get lucky. When overly busy the service is a little slow due to volume but the waitresses are generally attentive and friendly.

Mondays are cheap beer night, most draft beers are $2.75, Tuesday they do Trivia, Wednesday if you buy the beer from the featured brewery you get to keep the glass, and Fridays the have live music. All in all it's a great place to go to hang out with old friends or meet some new ones.
