The Farnsworth Art Museum Rockland Reviews
Art in a fishing town Apr 26, 2008
Rockland Maine is not all bars and fishing piers. As you walk down Main Street you will find this museum is a hidden little gem. It may not be as big as the MET, but it is still a nice walk through. Not too many pictures are allowed inside or outside for that matter, but prints can be purchased in the gift shop. My friend tried to use her cell phone and one of the attendants told her to put it away. She was not taking pictures with it, but they do have a strict policy against cameras in certain areas of the museum.
They do feature some interesting artwork, not that I am into art but I still found some of the pieces unique and like I said interesting.
This was my first art museum, and I really enjoyed walking through it with my friend. It was nice and quiet which is a change of pace for me.
