Best hotel in the downtown area Feb 15, 2012
Ok, at first, I thought, holy crap this place is ridiculously expensive. But then I started doing things downtown like buying drinks and what not, and noticed that everything in Bermuda is expensive. Luckily the "day job" was picking up the tab on this one, so I didn't mind spending the money. The place is huge. It has two pools, at least one of which is a saltwater pool. My friend told me that, I never went in or stuck my hand in there. They also have a putting green with putters and balls right there for you to borrow. The restaurant is nice. I had breakfast there. A pretty decent buffet, but again, expensive. I think it was $30 or something. There was eggs benedict though which is something I haven't seen on a buffet line. It might be because I've spent the last 5 months without what one would call a normal bathroom, but the shower in the room was amazing. It was one of those rain shower heads that come from straight above your head. They also had the regular one as well. I used both :)

Great Hotel close to Hamilton May 12, 2011
If you'd like a swank hotel with proximity to the city The Fairmont Hamilton Princess is the place to stay. Two swimming pools and breathtaking views of the harbor!

The food is excellent as well. Great atmosphere. They also have a hip happy hour in the summer months on Fridays.

Amazing historic hotel Jul 02, 2010
We spent three days at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess over the 4th of July, the hotel was completely full. This historic hotel has hosted royalty and movie stars. It's hard to miss, it's the huge pink building in downtown Hamilton. We were upgraded to a Gold level room in the main building. There are also rooms in the newer wings. The tradition of British high tea supposedly originated at this hotel. They had two different tea service menus, we ended up getting both!

The hotel has two pools, one salt and one fresh. The restaurants are good but somewhat pricey, we ended up going to a nearby grocery store to pick up some supplies.

The hotel offers a boat/bus shuttle to its sister hotel, the Fairmont Southampton which has a great beach. On the boat we met a couple who had been coming to the Hamilton Princess for 26 years, staying in the same room!

Service at the hotel was a bit stuffy. The hotel has a Gold room lounge, since we'd been upgraded we thought we could use the lounge. We walked in and the lounge concierge looked down his nose at us, the upgrade apparently didn't allow us to use the lounge. We came back later when someone else was working though and were able to get in. The lounge offers happy hour hors d'ouerves.
