The Eurotunnel Calais Reviews
quick way to england Nov 30, 2009
There are several ways to travel to the UK from the main land of Europe. Lot of airline connections and also ferry connections.Since 1994 it's possible to take the train to cross the northern sea. Start in Calais( France) and finish in folkestone(UK),or back of course. The ride will take about 35 minutes and the rates start at 30 euros ( 44 pounds)one way.
When arriving at the side you follow the guided track. Your car will be checked by film camera's when you pass the entrance of the euro tunnel side.If you made a reservation with your credit card and inert your card you get a welcome, you have to confirm if you don't drive on LPG and get the opportunity if you are early to take a train earlier for free or you have to pay extra ( 45 euro) to take a more earlier train. If you are early and want to take your booked train, you can go for shopping or have something to eat. The quality of the food is not great.
If you going further you will enter the French customs and they can pick you out of the line and check the car. About 300 meters you will find the British customs and when you passed that station it's up to the train. Follow the green arrows and you will enter the trains. They lead you to the upper deck or lower deck.Park the car, open the windows and take a rest for 35 minutes and keep in mind that after 35 minutes a lot of things changed. The time, the language and the most important thing, DRIVING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD.
When you arrive in the UK, you leave the train and go straight to the motorway and up to your destination.
From the UK to France it's the same way, but there are more shopping facilities
