The Embarcadero Travel Reviews

Jul 15, 2007
The Embarcadero is the downtown's section of San Diego bay. There is plenty to see there just walking around, but also some attractions. I'll add reviews later, but here are some things to see:

Anthony's seafood restaurant- on a wharf over the water

USS Midway aircraft carrier museum- a WWII carrier with an airplane museum on deck

San Diego Maritime Museum- a series of ships along the shoreline including the Star of India, oldest operational tall ship on the west coast

A 40-foot statue of a sailor and nurse...

A waterfront walk with views of the bay and ships

Harbor cruise, whale watching cruise, and ferry to Coronado Island

"Urban Trees" an ongoing artwork installation
