The Edwin Fox Museum Mar 11, 2009
The Edwin Fox is the 9th oldest ship in the world. It was built in 1853 for trade to the East Indies, it also worked as a troop ship to the Crimean War,later it transported convicts to Australia, plus immigrants to New Zealand and took export frozen mutton from New Zealand to to Britain. After many years she ended her days as a coal hulk in Picton. In 1965 a restoration society was formed to attempt to restore the old ship, she is now being conserved in a special dry dock just near where the ferry docks at Picton.

This museum is well worth a visit.
