Birdwatchers paradise Jul 30, 2014
On the way from Barcelona to Valencia you can find the Ebro Delta Natural Park(or in spanish: Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre), a big wetland area of 320 square kilometres where the river Ebro flows into the Mediterranean Sea. It's a protected area with rice fields, lakes, marshes and a sandy coast. It's a birdwatchers paradise but even if your not, the flamingo's do impress! It's a great place for walking, cycling and there are also options to explore by canoe or on horseback. There are several towns and villages in the Delta and there are several camping sites. To cross the river you can take the ferrie but either side of the river is just beautiful
