The east end is by far the more happening part of London. With a hecaletic mix of trendy bars and dirty clubs to cater for everyone's tastes. The music in the area varies leaning towards the break-beat, electro, hip hop sort of scene. Best to buy a copy of Time Out magazine and see what club is playing what. 93 Feet East, Vibe Bar, Turn Mills, Herbal, are all great venues if you want to party to the wee hours. Most places charge around £5 for entrance fee and drinks are usually over-priced at around £3.5 for a bottle of beer. If you want to keep it cheap but still get drunk, buy a bottle of wine for around £13.

London's East End (where the museum is located) is experiencing a gentrification - it is, among other things, the new financial capital of the world. The museum explored the East End's history as a "slum", for lack of a better word, and Jack the Ripper… My Life as a Museum Rat |

)Stopped by the Natural History Museum for a couple of minutes. Word of advice: don't go unless you're under 12. Yup, that bad. Looked for west end bars - failed. Looke for east end bars - failed. Found club with 5 pound cover and 1.50 drinks all night - great success! … Day 3: Mind the gap. |

We cut through the massive grounds of the Royal Guard and entered the east end of St. James' Park. The park was more like a botanical garden with manicured lawns lined with brightly colored flora and fauna. Buckingham Palace reflected on the far end of a lake teeming with birdlife. The setting was rustic and right in the middle… Touring the River Thames |
