Here you can have your lunch in calm surroundings Dec 02, 2009
The Dominican Hotel in Rue Leopold just behind the Opera House in Brussels does not just host a good hotel but also a great bar famous for its gin Mojitos and a great lunch restaurant. The place is probably not well known by others than the people living at the hotel and the people working in the area.

I have used the restaurant as a lunch restaurant several times because it a place where you can be pretty much yourself. The food is in the high end of lunches and so are the prices; my last lunch there for two persons with a bottle of wine set me back more than 100 euro.

The restaurant is really classy; the interior is stylish and there is loads of space around every table; mostly upwards. The tables are neatly made with small decorations next to the trendy dishes. The style is dark wood and light earth colours.

One issue can be that it sometimes takes a while before someone comes to serve you, but it is also due to that there are so few using the restaurant for lunch, but as soon as you are seen they take well care of you.

The waiters are good and friendly and are always willing to explain the different dishes and make sure that you are served in the tempo that you want to and that you get what you need.
