The Dome Travel Reviews

Oct 25, 2007
Was told by a friend that this is the place to eat in Bangkok...
So When I got to Bangkok I booked a table on my birthday.
Me and a friend went by cab to the State Tower where te restaurant is on the 64th floor..
The State Tower is impressive buuuuuut!
When you get out of the elevator and step outside on the terrase(yes the restaurante is outside) and look out over Bangkok it just takes your breath away.
I have tried many things but this is one of things ever.
You walk down the stairs and are seated. When you look around you see Bangkok and then you find out why it's called The Dome.
There is a big golden dome lit up by light on top of the building.
The food is mediteranine and it is soooooooo goooooood.
And the winelist is a mile long:O)
On top of that there is live jazz with a very good singer.
So if you are ever in Bangkok you have to go here and you don't have to eat. You can just go to the round bar and have a drink and listen to the music.
We spent $800 but we had all we could eat, lots og good wine, coffé, drinks and a very good cigar:O)
We could have spent less and a lot more:O)
So the price high in Bangkok but if I had to do the same here in Denmark I would have to pay $1500-2000.

zulu928 says: Trust me when I say this is probably the most spectacular restaurant in the world. I know that is a big statement however until somebody shows me a better one, this is it. Take the elevator to the 64th floor of the Dome then I guarantee your first look at the setting will take your breath away. ...
